WebAug 23, 2024 · Flying home from Vancouver, we began our flight on an Embraer 175 (capacity was 100 passengers) via First Class and the second leg was on a Canadair Regional Jet in Economy (flight UA 5229). We went from a very compact plane to a shoebox that held 50 passengers in total. WebCL-600-2D15 Regional Jet Series 705. Only Air Canada Jazz once operated Regional Jet Series 705, basically a CRJ900 with only 75 seats. Still Bombardier gave it a separate official designation, CL-600-2D15. From the outside they are indistinguishable from the "real" Series 900.
